Early in April every year, Washington, D.C. turns pink as thousands of cherry blossoms reach full bloom. We’ll explore the city’s monuments and museums, as well as attend the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.

Day 1:

  • Travel to Washington DC
  • Lunch on your own at the Capitol Visitor Center. At nearly 580,000 square feet it is almost 3/4 the size of the Capitol itself and full of galleries, gift shops and restaurants
  • Visit the United States Capitol. One of the most recognizable buildings in the world, it has housed Congress since 1800
  • Visit the United States Library of Congress. Did you know that this is the largest national library in the world and has more than 650 miles of bookshelves with over 138 million objects in 470 languages?!
  • See the Supreme Court Building
  • Enjoy dinner [included]
  • Check into your local hotel

Day 2:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Admission to the annual Cherry Blossom Parade – where you will have access to our Premium Preferred Grandstand Seating
  • Meet our Local Guide at National Archives
  • Lunch on your own at the Reagan Building
  • Visit the White House Visitor’s Center – photo-op at the White House!
  • Cherry Blossom Cruise where you will enjoy a signature pink drink, a narrated cruise along the river, dancing to a live band and a delicious dinner [included]
  • Depart ship and enjoy a Pink Tied Stroll with a photo-op among the Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin
  • Stop at Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial
  • Stop at The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial
  • Stop at The Jefferson Memorial
  • Continue on an Illuminated Monument Driving Tour
  • Stop at The National World War II Memorial
  • Drive by the Washington Monument
  • Drive by the Marine Corps Memorial
  • Drive by other memorials and monuments
  • Return to hotel

Day 3:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Stop at The Vietnam Veterans Memorial
  • Stop at The Lincoln Memorial
  • The Korean War Veterans Memorial
  • Head to the Smithsonian Institution where you can choose which museums to visit. Options include:
  • National Museum of African American History and Culture
  • National Museum of American History
  • National Air & Space Museum
  • National Museum of Natural History
  • National Museum of the American Indian
  • National Gallery of Art
  • Freer & Sackler Galleries

Cherry Blossom Parade

The Cherry Blossom Parade should be considered one of our nation’s treasures and from our premium preferred grandstand seating you’ll have the best view of it all. This beautiful festival marks the celebration of 3,000 cherry trees gifted to the people Washington DC by the city of Tokyo in 1912.

This 3-week cultural festival is held throughout the city and sees 1.5 million visitors. It features countless events, art exhibits, culinary presentations and, of course, the Cherry Blossom Parade.

During the parade you will see giant balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country and celebrity entertainers.

Cherry Blossom Cruise

Board the Odyssey III and we will set sail down the Potomac taking in the sights. A narrator will share stories about the views as you enjoy a signature pink drink. Afterwards you will feast on a delicious dinner and end the cruise with dancing to a live band. Wear something PINK to make the cruise feel even more festive!

Your evening will end with a stroll along the Tidal Basin for those picturesque cherry blossom photo-ops and a twilight drive through the city.

The Smithsonian is the world’s largest museum, education and research complex. With such varied attractions we’ll give you the freedom to choose which museums you’d most like to visit. Choose from:

Kennedy and home to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, speaks volumes about our country’s debt to the countless lives who have made the ultimate sacrifice, helping make our home a free nation.

Cherry Blossom Cruise
There is a dress code to board the Odyssey III cruise ship. No jeans, shorts, tank tops, halters, gym shoes or flip flops are permitted on the ship.
Additionally, we encourage you to dress in PINK (just like the cherry blossoms) to make sure cruise even more festive!

This trip will feature a lot of walking, please prepare yourself with comfortable shoes.

Many of the museums/attractions have upgraded security policies. Expect to have your handbag, backpack, etc., searched before entering the attraction.
